    Rev in the making

I've been recommended for training for ordained ministry!!

It's been a long 2 years going through the process and I'm so relieved to have a decision, but it's also been a time when I've learned so much about God and my own faith. Apologies if I've not managed to tell you in person yet - there seem to be so many people to get round and my head's spinning with it all!

But, if I've not said it to you - thank you so so much for ALL your prayers and support! The help that people have given me has been invaluable, and without it I don't think I'd be sane now!

Next step? Find a job in Manchester for a year before starting training in 2007. Watch this space...

    Courtesy of my little brother...

David Beckham decides to go horse riding.

Although he's had no previous experience, he skilfully mounts the horse and appears in complete command of the situation as the horse gallops along at a steady pace whilst Victoria admiringly watches her husband.

After a short time David becomes a little casual and he begins to lose his grip in the saddle.

He panics, grabs the horse around the neck and is shouting for it to stop.

Victoria starts to scream and shout for someone to help her husband as David has by this time slipped completely out of the saddle and is only saved from hitting the ground by the fact that he still has a grip
    on the horse's neck.

David decides that his best chance is to leap away from the horse, but his foot has become entangled in one of the stirrups.

As the horse gallops along David's head is banging on the ground and he is slipping into unconsciousness.

Victoria is now frantic and screams and screams for help!!

Hearing her screams, the Tesco Security Guard comes out of the store and unplugs the horse.

    The "D" word...

It's actually going really well. I did more work than I thought last term which is helping this week as I try and put together a first draft. But. After spending 3 months on exactly HOW Hardy was influenced by Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, I now have to address the question of WHY he chose to be. Honestly, it's like climbing Everest, thinking you've seen the summit, and then realising that what you thought is the summit is actually just a big cloud and you have to climb through that cloud and keep searching for the summit.

Actually, it's nowhere near that bad. And I am enjoying it. I am. But roll on Easter!

    Ordinand Idol!!

The last 3 days have flown by - thanks to all for your prayers and support leading up to everything! It's a bit surreal to be back in the real world though, and felt very much like we were on some Big Brother-esque program! So, maybe a bit of an artificial atmosphere, but a swift trip by some of us down to the pub did help to lighten the mood. Watch this space for news of the outcome, although they say it may take up to 2 weeks now.
